What music do you want to hear on the podcast?

Are you in a band on CD Baby? Is your best friend a singer/songwriter with an album on CD Baby?

We’re always looking for good music to play on our Music Discovery Podcast. The podcast is available in the podcast section at iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=295386100 and on our Music Discovery Blog, which you are reading right now.

If you do a Christmas music podcast I’d love to see you include something from Kari Tauring’s “A Yuletide Celebration” – “Starlight Yule Bright” is particularly lovely.

  • Original, interesting, grows on you with each listen!

Lisa Bastoni from her album, Your First Sweetheart, either Oh John, If I Had My Way or Ruane Street https://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bastoni2

Circe Link from her album, More Songs, Blue Bird Tattoo https://www.cdbaby.com/cd/circelink

Holly Figueroa (notice every vowel is there, even ‘y’ ?) from her album Dream in Red the title track is great although not strictly folk, it might fit, it has that vibe https://www.cdbaby.com/cd/figueroa2

and lastly Brian Lee Bennett, falling more into the country side of things, with his song Why Do I Do This To Me from his self titled CD https://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbennett2 I wish his song Whispering Walls was on one of these CD’s that you have but sadly its not there, its a great tune!

Ryan Kelly, Neil Byrne, Paul Byrom, Celtic Thunder…all of the above 🙂

  • To quote from our CD Baby page:
Big Block 454 is a semi-amorphous post-modern / situationist neo-dada cross-platform compositional construct from Manchester, England (featuring people from Liverpool, Leeds and Lincolnshire).
Over the years, Big Block 454 have unleashed a series of albums and multi-media happenings upon an unsuspecting public, combining influences such as Faust, Can, Brian Eno, The Residents, the Bonzo Dog Band, King Crimson and the BBC Radiophonics Workshop – surrealism meets Krautrock meets downright Northern stupidity. We play whatever we like, alright?

Some tunes from any of Jennifer Leonhardt’s three albums on CDBaby! It’s urban blues and new folk-rock by way of Austin, Texas.
