Editor’s Pick – John Czajkowski – West ZooOpolis

This album is one of several in which a guitarist/composer has written an entire album a 52-minute improvised drum performance by Marco Minnemann. West ZooOpolis is instrumental fusion jazz/rock. It can feel like there’s a lot to take in, because there’s a lot of craft and technique that went into its creation.

And you can find Mario Brinkmann’s similarly composed album here, which is comprised of a lot of Vintage Synths paired with acoustic drums.

Anyway, it’s all pretty interesting to hear how the different songs have evolved around the same rhythmic roots.
